Yeah! I absolutely LOVED Fairy Cube by Kaori Yuki. It's very dark and has violence in it, so be warned, but I really love the story of it.

None, but out of more interesting ones, I would like to mention MS Xenix (One of four attempts of Microsoft at destroying Unix), IBM AiX (Especially an infamous AiX/IA64, piece of art), L4 microkernels (At least there was an attempt to make microkernels feasible in reality, unix'fication also happened to them), Solaris was an important one (but also people tend to forget about SunOS, aka BSD pretty much), DragonflyBSD is worth a mention (taking a hog that is a Unix and trying to make it scale decently well on SMP), I guess one shall also acknowledge MIT attempts at exokernels, lovely ideas, but their shots at it were pretty bad.
